I have not tried them out as I have not figured how to get the other tips off.

Very substantial, solid composition, good tread, fit both my MEC and Fit for Life poles. I think they will last quite a while, but this solidity also makes them a bit heavy and inflexible in comparison to other similarly priced brands like Leki. I appreciate the benefits of having an enduring tip like this because I do lots of hard surface walking. These tips are excellent for fit and stability however, the trade offs (especially for those who want nimble, low profile, and relatively silent stride support) are that this solidity of construction causes a bit more landing shock, notable contact noise and a somewhat clunky feeling and appearance. I think they offer excellent value, but emphasize therapy/stability over speed/athletic usage.
